The Music of Gershwin

Crispian Steele-Perkins is known for his enthusiasm for restoring trumpets form the 18th and 19th centuries so that he can perform music of those times as authentically as possible. The rebuilding of a 1930 trumpet-cornet made in New York raised the interesting question - what was played on it? What could be more contemporary or appropriate than the wonderful melodies of Gershwin?
